Fight

We fight for what we believe in...a world without cancer, especially breast cancer so once again I took part in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day and walked another 60 miles in the fight!  This year I walked in the Twin Cities with my sister-in-law Angie, friends Katie, Kerry, and Kelsey.  Together we raised over $12,000 to help the Twin Cities raise more than $5.3 million!  It was another amazing experience filled with a mix of emotions...excitement to take part again; proud of my sis for rolling 60 miles again with me; amazement as I walked along side a survivor who completed her chemotherapy 5 weeks before the walk; honor to be walking for my aunt Berta, my mother-in-law Bonnie, grandma Corrine;  and remembrance as I walk for my grandma Johnson and so many other men and women who have fought this horrible disease; and no emotion could describe how I felt seeing my truly amazing husband, beautiful children as well as my amazing extended family at the end for whom I will continue to walk in the fight for we all deserve a lifetime!
